On 12 October 2025, Enlight Group was honoured to participate as a co-sponsor in the “Program Edaran 10,000 Muruku Sempena Hari Deepavali 2025”, held at Little India, George Town, Penang. The meaningful event, organised by the Penang Island City Council (MBPP), brought together community leaders, local representatives, and members of the public to celebrate the upcoming Deepavali festival.
The event was graced by YBhg. Dato’ Ir. Rajendran P. Anthony, the Mayor of MBPP, and his wife YBhg. Datin Devika S. Thiagarajan, alongside YB Tuan Kumaresan a/l Aramugam, ADUN Batu Uban, and YBhg. Dato’ Yeoh Soon Hin, Chairman of Penang Port Commission. Also in attendance were MBPP councillors, PKR party members, and various community volunteers.
Representing Enlight Group, Dato’ Ooi Ghee Shen, Managing Director, joined the distribution of muruku to the public and celebrated the joyous spirit of Deepavali with attendees. The program successfully distributed 10,000 packs of muruku to visitors and shoppers in the vibrant Little India area, which was filled with festive colours, traditional music, and the warm spirit of giving.
